Banana Milkshake

I think I'd never posted any beverages recipe, well mostly because I rarely focus much on beverages sebab biasanya minum air masak or air yang biasa-biasa je. So this is gonna be the first.


Ingredients:
2 bananas
1 cup of milk
1 cup of plain water
4 spoonfuls of sugar

Methods:
  1. Senang je, just blend everything together so it's nice and smooth looking. Chill it before serving. Yep, that is all to it :)
*This recipe makes 2 - 3 glasses of milkshake - trust me, it's extremely filling and full of flavour.

Bihun Kungfu

Ooooppsss.. jangan salah faham.. kita bukannya nak berkungfu kat dapur sebab nak masak bihun ni ye! Ha-ha. Actually I pun taktau mana datangnya nama 'bihun kungfu' and what is so kungfu-ish about it.. What I know is, ianya senang di masak, sedap dan yang penting sekali, sihat, seimbang dan berkhasiat sebab 1) direbus dan 2) banyak sayur-sayuran!



Bahan-bahan:
500gm bihun (or ikut suka hati)
2 biji telur (dipukul)
3 cawan air
2 ulas bawang putih (diketuk)
150gm isi ayam dicincang
Bebola ikan (ikut suka hati nak taruk berapa banyak; kalau tak nak masukkan pun takpe)
Sawi
Lobak merah (hiris nipis)
Tomato (belah empat)
Jagung muda (kalau ada)
4 - 5 biji cili padi (ikut kepedasan)
Sedikit tepung jagung dibancuh dengan air sejuk (untuk memekatkan kuah)
1 kiub pati ayam
Secubit garam

Cara-cara:

  1. Celur bihun and put aside.
  2. Panaskan air dan masukkan bawang putih, ayam dan bebola ikan. Bila mendidih masukkan sayur-sayuran, cili padi, kiub pati ayam dan garam. 
  3. Bila sayur lembut, masukkan air tepung jagung. Kacau.
  4. Masukkan telur dan kacau rata.
  5. Biar 1 - 2 minit dan tuang kuah ke atas bihun sewaktu menghidang.
*Ada 2 variasi untuk menyediakan menu ni. Untuk variasi kedua, selepas bihun dicelur, celupkan ke dalam telur yang dipukul dan gorengkan tanpa minyak. Step yang lelain (kecuali no. 4, sebab tak payah nak letak telur lagi) sama je.

*Bihun tu boleh juga digantikan dengan kueyteow/mee kalau nak.

DIY Garlic Bread

Not your typical garlic bread but it's still as good!

Kadang-kadang kita teringin nak makan, tapi dalam hati, lecehnya nak kena keluar pegi cari Pizza Hut atau mana-mana restoran yang ada garlic bread ni. Wanna make your own garlic bread for breakfast, or maybe dinner? Or as a side dish? Here's the recipe:

Ingredients:
Baguette/White bread (remember the white bread pizza? there are a lot of things you can do with white bread y'know!)
1/2 cup of butter (go for light ones)
6 cloves of garlic
Chopped parsley
*A tin of mushroom soup

Methods:

  1. Blend the butter, garlic and chopped parsley till it turns into a mixture.
  2. Spread the mixture on the bread.
  3. Bake the bread in the oven for 6-8 minutes at 180-185'C. (feel free to wrap it in aluminium foil if you want to).
  4. Once it is done, serve it with mushroom soup! 
Sedap tau! Try it!

Spaghetti Bolognese A'la Aida

This is my all-time favourite dish as it's easy to prepare and most importantly, sedap hingga menjilat sudu! Hehe.. This is not a true bolognese sauce but different people have different methods to prepare their spaghetti bolognese, right? This is mine.

Ingredients
500gm spaghetti (ikut la nak banyak mana)
200gm minced beef/chicken
2 spoonfuls of chopped garlic
100gm chopped mushrooms
3 spoonfuls of fresh milk (yes, this is my secret to a yummy sauce, now you know!)
1 tin of chopped tomatoes
3/4 cup of water
1/2 spoonful of mixed herbs
Salt and pepper

Methods:
  1. Boil the spaghetti with a pinch of salt and a drizzle of olive oil (nak elakkan pasta melekat) for about 10mins or so. Drain and put aside.
  2. Pour some olive oil into a pan. Add the chopped garlic. Kacau.
  3. Add the minced beef and stir till it's all nice and crumbly.
  4. Add the mushrooms and milk. Stir.
  5. Next, put in the tomatoes, water and mixed herbs. Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste and stir well.
  6. Let it simmer on low heat for about 30mins or so till it's thick.
  7. Siap!

If you like it hot, add chili paste to your sauce. Serve it hot and add grated cheese on top for an extra indulgence. Feel free to modify!

Baked Stuffed Potatoes

Still thinking about what to cook for breakfast? Try baked stuffed potatoes!



Ingredients:
2-4 large potatoes (ikut la nak berapa banyak nak)
2 spoonfuls of olive oil
Mixed veggies
Mayonnaise
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (guna yang slices pun boleh)
2 spoonfuls of butter

Methods:
  1. Clean the potatoes. Drain. 
  2. Use a fork to poke the potatoes (supaya kentang tak explode dalam oven!) and coat with olive oil. If you want, you can wrap em with aluminium foil, tapi kalau taknak pun takpe.
  3. Bake potatoes for about 40 minutes - 1 hour at 185'C.
  4. While waiting, put the mixed veggies, mayonnaise and salt and pepper in a bowl. Mix well. Put aside.
  5. When the potatoes are done, cut off a slice from the top of each potato (tapi jangan sampai putus).
  6. Fill in the centre with the mixed veggies salad. Top that with cheese and butter and bake again for about 5 minutes or so, and there you go; your very own baked stuffed potatoes!

Kueyteow Goreng Ayam

Kadang-kadang bosan gak asyik makan nasi je.. sekali-sekala makan kueyteow best juga kan?


Bahan-bahan:
500gm - 1kg kueyteow (cuci dan toskan)
3 biji bawang merah + bawang putih + segenggam cili kering (kisar halus)
100gm isi ayam (boleh ganti dengan daging/kerang/udang jugak)
3 sudu kicap + sos tiram + sos cili
1/2 cawan air
Segenggam sawi/taugeh
Tauhu goreng potong 4
2 biji telur
Garam/perasa secukupnya

Cara-cara:
  1. Panaskan minyak dan tumiskan bahan kisar sampai garing.
  2. Masukkan ayam. Kacau. Then masukkan kicap, sos tiram dan sos cili serta air.
  3. Next up, masukkan kueyteow, tauhu dan sayur. Kacau rata. 
  4. Pastu masukkan garam/perasa. Kacau lagi. 
  5. Akhir sekali masukkan telur (biasa I pukul siap-siap before masukkan tu). Kacau sebati. Biar dalam 2 - 3 minit and voila, siap! 

Tak susahkan? Main campak-campak je ape yang ada ikut kesesuaian :)

White Bread Pizza

Oh my, lamanya tak upload blog masakan! Maklum je la bila kat Sabah, I kan 'bujang'.. memang tak masak.. makan luar je. Bila balik Semenanjung baru la rajin nak ke dapur hehe.. But since dah balik Semenanjung for good, mungkin blog ni akan lebih active (kot). Jom masak!

Ok, hari ni nak ajar buat pizza cara yang paling mudah!

Remember the loaf of bread lying in your fridge? Well, other than toasting or making french toast out of it, why don't use it as base for your favourite pizza toppings? Kurang-kurang tak payah nak buat base bagai.. senang kan? After all, pizza dough tu kira roti gak kan..

WHITE BREAD PIZZA

Ingredients
White bread.. ikutlah nak berapa banyak
Pasta sauce (if takde, guna tomato sauce pun boleh)
Cheese (mozzarella/cheddar) - I guna cheddar btw (nak ngabiskan stok dalam fridge hehe)
Toppings:
(Ikut suka hati - I buat 2 jenis here)
Chicken breast meat + capsicum + mixed veggie
Sausages + raw onion rings
*boleh gak if nak letak tuna/crabstick/pineapple/thousand island (ala-ala island supreme gitu)

Methods:
  1. Dice/slice the chicken breast meat, sausages and capsicum. Put aside.
  2. Sapukan roti dengan pasta sauce, then put the chicken breast meat, capsicum and mixed veggie or sausages and onions. Top that with cheese. 
  3. Grill or bake them for 8-10 minutes. Siap!!



Flexible, senang, mudah, dan yang penting sekali sedappp! It also helps to habiskan roti, pasta sauce, cheese and daging bagai.. lebih baik dari di buang begitu sahaja! Jangan lupa cuba ya.. sesuai di buat breakfast ni!
