Chocolate Chip Cookies

Its look may not be as appealing as the ones in stores near you but the taste.. mmmm.. yummy!!! When I say 'cookies', I don't mean the ones you bake for Hari Raya and all.. I'm actually referring to the old-fashioned large, soft, chewy, thin, crisp and cake-like cookies you can eat whenever you want! (lol) Here's the recipe:

CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

Ingredients:
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons cocoa powder
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup white sugar
1 cup butter, softened
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla essence
2 cups chocolate chips (or as many as you want.. more chips.. more fun!)
*1 cup chopped nuts if you want

Methods:
  1. Preheat oven to 180°C for about 10 minutes.
  2. In a medium bowl mix together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cocoa powder and salt. Put aside.
  3. Cream sugars and butter till fluffy.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well.
  5. Stir in flour mixture until just mixed.
  6. Pour in the chocolate chips (and/or nuts); mix well.
  7. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto a greased baking tray, 2-inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
  9. Once it's done, let it cool and store in tightly sealed container.

This recipe makes about 3 dozen cookies. You can dip it in milk, served with ice cream or just eat it on its own! Buying it outside will cost you more money, soooo... go bake your own cookies! ;)
