The first recipe that I'd like to share is coconut sagoo or kuih sagu kelapa in Mmalay.. I am sure dat you guys are familiar with the look of these soft, sticky but yummy kuih.. The recipe is very simple, easy-peasy and quick to be made, even your 6-year-old brother can make it.. ahahaha!
Ingredients:
1 cup of sagoo
1 cup of sugar
2 cups of water
Colouring/flavouring - preferably rose syrup, pandan flavour also can
Sum freshly grated coconut, mix with a lil bit of salt
Methods:
1. Wash sagoo and put on a strainer.
2. Boil water, sugar and colouring/flavouring for a while in a pot.
3. Put in the sagoo and stir till it thickens.
4. Remove from fire and pour the sagoo in a tupperware.
5. Leave to cool before cutting.
6. Coat with the freshly grated coconut (can be substituted with the dry one too).
