Siakap Masak Stim

Hari ni teringinn sangat nak makan siakap entah kenapa ya. Mujur memang ada stok dalam fridge. Memandangkan kitorang dalam usaha nak amalkan diet sihat, I've decided to just steam the fish and here is the recipe:


What you need:
Seekor ikan siakap
1/4 cup jus limau
Seinci halia dihiris nipis
Separuh labu bawang besar dihiris nipis
1-2 serai diketuk
Sekeping asam keping
Salt and pepper

Cara-caranya:
Just bersihkan ikan dan campurkan bahan-bahan di atas dan stim selama 20-30 minit. Enak dimakan dengan nasi putih panas-panas :-)

p/s: Nak tambah hirisan tomato dan carrot pun boleh!

Chocolate Lava Cake

Made these for hubby's birthday last week :)

Ingredients:

100g cooking chocolate/dark chocolate - cut into small cubes
100g butter - cut into small cubes
2 eggs
50g caster sugar
20g self raising flour

Directions:

1. Preheat the oven at 180c.
2. Melt the chocolate and butter using either the microwave or a double boiler (I use the former btw - microwave in 10-15 seconds interval until it melts)
3. Next, beat the eggs and sugar till the mixture turns pale and frothy.
4. Pour the melted chocolate and butter into the egg mixture and stir in the flour. Mix everything evenly using a spatula.
5. Grease your ramekins with butter and pour the mixture into the ramekins, filling each 3/4 full.


6. Bake at 180c for about 9-10 mins.
7. Once it's cooked, let it cool for a few minutes and then gently loosen the edges with a spoon and invert the cakes onto the serving plate. 
8. Decorate with some icing sugar and/or vanilla ice cream and it's done!!

It's deliberately undercooked as it's supposed to be runny in the middle, hence the name

Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

Hola! It has been a while since I last wrote anything here. Well, I'm back now and the first recipe I wanna share here in the year 2012 would be my favourite pasta dish apart from the bolognese, aglio e olio. Mungkin ramai tak tau apa aglio olio tu stands for.. well, it's Italian for garlic and oil. So sila ingat dua bahan utama ni bila nak masak this dish okay! 



Bahan-bahan:
Spaghetti (ikut la nak banyak mana)
1/2 cawan olive oil (dish ni memang sedikit berminyak tapi olive oil so takpe la kan)
3 ulas bawang putih diketuk (ikut citarasa la)
Chili flakes/Cili kering dipotong-potong
150gm ayam dicincang/8 ekor udang (ikut citarasa jugak, nak guna dedua sekali pun boleh)
Garam

Cara-cara:
  1. Seperti biasa, masak spaghetti dengan air dan sedikit garam. Dah siap, toskan.
  2. Dalam kuali, panaskan minyak, then masukkan bawang putih dan cili. Kacau rata.
  3. Bila bau dah semerbak gitu, masukkan ayam or udang. Kacau lagi.
  4. Pastu masukkan garam. Boleh juga if nak tambah serbuk pati ayam to enrich the taste.
  5. Akhir sekali masukkan spaghetti yang dah siap ditoskan tadi and kacau sesuka hati sampai sebati.
Dah siap pun!
